expresar fechas correctamente y comprender cómo se utilizan en diferentes
contextos.
1. Números Cardinales (Cardinal Numbers): "One, two, three..."
Los números
cardinales son los que usamos para contar cantidades. Aquí tienes los
números básicos del 1 al 20:

números entre las decenas, simplemente añade el número del 1 al 9 después de la
decena, con un guion:

Centenas (Hundreds):
Para formar
las centenas, usa "hundred" después del número del 1 al 9:
- 100:
One hundred
- 200:
Two hundred
- 500:
Five hundred
Para números como 125, dirías "One hundred and
twenty-five".
Miles (Thousands):
Para formar
los miles, usa "thousand" después del número:
- 1,000:
One thousand
- 5,000:
Five thousand
- 1,500:
One thousand five hundred
- 2,345:
Two thousand three hundred and forty-five
Millones (Millions):
Ejemplo:1 1,234,567 se dice "One
million, two hundred and thirty-four thousand, five hundred and
sixty-seven."
2. Números Ordinales (Ordinal Numbers): "First, second, third..."

Regla
General: Para la
mayoría de los números ordinales, se añade "-th" al final del número
cardinal.
Excepciones Importantes: First, second, third, fifth,
eighth, ninth, twelfth.
3. Fechas (Dates): "Today is...", "March
20th"
En inglés,
hay diferentes formas de decir y escribir las fechas.
Formato Común en Inglés
Británico:
- Escrito:
Day / Month / Year (Ejemplo: 20 / 03 / 2025)
- Oral:
The + [ordinal number] + of + [Month] + [Year] (Ejemplo: The twentieth of
March, two thousand and twenty-five)
Formato Común en Inglés
Americano:
- Escrito:
Month / Day / Year (Ejemplo: 03 / 20 / 2025)
- Oral:
[Month] + the + [ordinal number] + [Year] (Ejemplo: March the twentieth,

Cómo Decir el Año (How to Say the Year):
- Años hasta 2000: Generalmente se dicen los dos
primeros dígitos y luego los dos últimos.
- 1985:
Nineteen eighty-five
- 1900:
Nineteen hundred
- Años del 2001 al 2009: Se dice "two thousand
and..." seguido del número.
- 2005:
Two thousand and five
- Años del 2010 en adelante: Se pueden decir como dos
grupos de dígitos o como "two thousand and...".
- 2015:
Twenty fifteen o Two thousand and fifteen
- 2025:
Twenty twenty-five o Two thousand and twenty-five
